Audit Tool
The Post-primary Review Team, working to Trustees and the Northern Ireland Commission for Catholic Education, has developed a preliminary audit tool to support all of our schools in gathering core information. This information is drawn from areas such as curriculum, enrolments, staffing and feeder primary schools and will be compiled into a summary report.
The report will allow each school to take stock of its current position in respect of those key areas. Schools are being supported in this by a Post-primary review team consultant, and the information in respect of each school will not be shared with any other schools at this stage.
The approach taken should ensure that, when a project-based review for a particular area moves forward, all schools involved will be at a similar stage of readiness. This will facilitate engagement by all schools in designing agreed, collaborative models and options for post-primary provision in a designated area.
We would stress that while decisions in respect of any proposed changes remain the responsibility of Trustees, the Trustees are anxious to ensure that their schools are fully involved in advising them on the best way forward for each area.
Once a school audit is completed it will remain the property of the school and its Trustees until such times as a local project moves forward.
